A little background information on how it works in this part of the world...

In Italy, there are no such things as the maid of honor, the braidesmaids, the best man and groomsmen. Nor are there speeches to be made (do you feel relieved?). Here the bride and groom have two "testimoni" each, which literally means, the "witnesses".
